Did you know that a woman without professional training in Indonesia only earns around 70 US dollars a month? A man earns about twice as much, also without training.
Unfortunately, inequality of opportunity is still an issue that many people experience firsthand on a daily basis, but it cannot and does not have to stay that way.
We at Elli by JULIE & GRACE stand for absolute woman power and believe in the strength and uniqueness of every woman. The proportion of female employees at our main location in Hamburg is over 75% and at our production site in Bali almost exclusively women work in management positions.
The education and professional future of women worldwide is therefore particularly important to us. In the course of this, we have been supporting the wonderful team of Bali WISE in their valuable mission for a few years.
About Bali WISE
Since 2007, Bali WISE has made it possible for women from difficult backgrounds to get professional training in the field of gastronomy and the hotel industry, thus offering them a future and prospects.
In a six-month training course, the women are prepared for the world of work so that they can then gain qualifications and start a stable future with fair wage opportunities.
Every year over 100 Indonesian women take part in the program and almost all of them successfully complete it. Over 80% get a job directly afterwards. In this way, they can also support their families financially.

With your help, we have already been able to enable three Indonesian women to receive vocational training through Bali WISE this year. The training costs include, among other things, work clothes, learning materials, technical aids and meals.
All four trainees successfully completed the 6-month training program and were subsequently employed by one of the training partners in the hotel industry. Help us to enable women from Indonesia to have a better future again next year.

At JULIE & GRACE, we encourage women to believe in their strength and uniqueness. Our jewelery is lovingly handcrafted in Bali. We also want to support women , namely as our own workers. Donations to the Bali WISE organization have an even greater effect. Since 2007, it has initiated a variety of projects that support women in need .
One focus is on their education. Local entrepreneurs support the organization with their donations for women in need . The help provided by Bali WISE is quick, unbureaucratic and independent of the origin and religion of the women. The latter is an important aspect in Indonesia, because Muslims, Hindus and Christians only partially live together peacefully here. There may be exclusions, but Bali WISE strictly rejects them. The organizers know that the best way to support women in need is to educate them. In addition, of course, they also collect donations for women in need .

Bali WISE conducts a six-month training course with disadvantaged, marginalized women, giving them professional skills in the restaurant and hotel trade.
