MATERIAL AND COLOUR

At Elli, we mainly use genuine, high-quality materials. Most of our jewelry is made of 925 sterling silver. We offer two more colors with the basic material 925 sterling silver, gold-plated and rose gold-plated. Depending on the color, the finishing varies, but the basic material remains the same.

Our Elli gold tone does not have an obtrusive yellow tinge, but is warm and subtle. The gold-plated jewelery is 24k gold-plated and our rose gold-plated jewelery is 18k gold-plated. This high-quality gold plating ensures that you can enjoy your piece of jewelry for a long time and that the color remains constant if you follow our care instructions. Since we are sure of our quality, we give you a one-year guarantee on every piece of jewellery.

925 sterling silver is softer than real gold, which makes it easy to deform. 925 sterling silver is 92.5% pure. This means that for every 1,000 parts of sterling silver there are 75 parts (7.5%) of other metals. This is considered the standard for real silver jewellery.

All of our jewelry made from sterling silver is hallmarked. The fineness (925) of the silver is stamped on the material.

We are also particularly proud of the 375 (9ct) and 585 (14ct) yellow gold jewelry in our collections. Yellow gold is an alloy made up of fine gold, silver and copper, depending on the proportion. The ratio of the metals to each other is decisive for the intensity of the gold color. The more gold it contains, the more intense the gold color.

Gold is sold in different grades. The international measure of gold purity is usually the carat (abbreviated to "K" or "ct"), so the percentage of pure gold in a gram of this alloy can be reported to within one-thousandth.

375 gold is 37.5% pure gold and has a gold content of 9K.
585 gold is 58.5% pure gold and has a gold content of 14K.
This means that the remaining parts of the jewelry contain other metals such as silver, copper, etc.

All of our jewelry made from yellow gold is hallmarked. The fineness (375 or 585) of the gold is stamped on the material.

585 white gold is gold from which the actual gold color is removed by other precious metals such as silver, chrome or platinum in order to create a silvery coloring of the material. The silver color of the white gold cannot be worn away by use, scratching or sawing. Because the white gold contains 100% the silvery color that can be seen on the surface.

Our white gold jewelry in 585 gold is 58.5% pure gold and has a gold content of 14 K.

750 rose gold, the particularly valuable variety of gold, has a higher copper content and a higher gold content than, for example, white gold.

Our rose gold jewelery in 750 gold is 75% pure gold and has a gold content of 18 K. All our jewelery made from rose gold is hallmarked. The fineness (750) of the gold is stamped on the material.
